Evolving Cities gives visitors the opportunity to engage with the evolution of Saudi Arabia’s cities, from historic urban dwellings to modern cosmopolitan centers and future projects. Films begin at sunrise and move through the day, telling the stories of these cities until nightfall. Carved walls featuring animations echo the desert sands, while stone samples offer a tactile experience of the country’s varied landscapes.

Working alongside the creative director, film director, graphic designer, and sound designers, my role was to create the animations projected onto the carved walls. These had to be beautiful and informative, while also handling a large amount of text in both Japanese and English.
