Challenge
SNF Nostos is the foundation’s annual public festival at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens.
For SNF’s 30th anniversary, the foundation wanted a digital experience accessible to families, students, employees, partners, and visitors of all needs. It had to communicate the scale of its global work while placing grantee partners’ achievements at the centre.
The challenge was to present thousands of grants across countries and sectors as clear, human, and emotionally resonant, not just numbers.
Solution
For SNF Nostos 2026, I worked with Journey in developing the festival’s first immersive, interactive experience.
Hosted within the National Library of Greece’s Book Castle, Mapping the SNF Journey transformed more than 5,700 grants into an accessible exploration of SNF’s global reach and real-world impact.
My role was to work with the creative director to develop an overall motion graphics and UX language that would work across the whole experience, providing templates for other artists and elements for the TouchDesigner designers to work with.
Impact
An immersive public experience that transformed the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s global grant-making into a layered, human-centred journey.
The combination of data, interaction, participation, and cinematic storytelling helped visitors understand the scale of SNF grantees’ work, while showing the individual stories behind 30 years of philanthropy.
